Not again :(

As I said earlier, I had been to alibaug last weekend. Again, I have to visit that place as my juniors are planning to give the valedictory function in alibaug. I am not all interested in that. As they are planning to leave IIT campus early, I am planning to switch off my mobile phone and sleep (although I will pay my share of contribution !!!!!).

Hope my friends willn't read this blog till tomorrow !!!!

Good day

Choosy Begger !!!!

We(Azeem, Sudheer and Praveen) went to Alibagh to have fun this weekend. I thought of sharing a funny incidence (is it funny ?) that happened while we visited Kihim beach.

As Sudheer was feeling thrusty, he bought a cold drink. As he was about to drink that, a begger(around 30 yrs of age) standing beside him started to give trouble. He was holding a small plastic cup and he was requesting for cold drink. Initilally we neglected him and started move towards our car. But he followed us and started irritating everyone. Finally fed-up with his behaviour we offered him a loaf of bread , but surprisingly he rejected that loaf of bread and started troubling us for the cold drink.

Although we manage to lose him, I was supriesed by this behaviour of the begger.

Ye Dil Mange More.......

God Save India !!!

Today there was a meeting in IIT-B to discuss issues related to reservation policies in India. Majority of the people who were present were divided between Pro and against. The matter that surprised me most was the way people were behaving for the opinion expressed by others. The people were not at all ready to listen and analyse the view expressed by others.

Finally when the orgainzers told people to walkout if they are not ready to respect others view, that discussion started moving smoothly (although still there were some troubles)

But certainly one thing was clear, if in a instituion like IIT ,where you get Indias highly intellectual people, there is so much disagreement about reservation policies then think about our politicians representing us in the parliament.

God Save India !!!

Should I ?

People are asking me to sit for the hunger strike. They ask me, think about your future ?, doesn't opposing this hike in reservation is responsibility of each individual indians ?".

But somehow I am still very quiet, not thinking about these issues (although I should !!)

IIT-B is Divided on Hike in Reservation Policy

I thought that students of IIT-B are united in opposing reservation policy. But it is surprising to see that there are 2 groups demonstrating, one in favour of and other against the reservation policy.

Let's wait and watch....

Oh God !!! Finally

Finally I finished my long pending work, to create a blog to put forward my opinion on everyday issues.
As everyone aware, most of the Indians are going aggressive against proposed 27% hike in reservation quotas.

Everyone has his own individual opinion on this matter. To put forward my opinion, I am not against reservation, but I am against the way the government of India is handling issues related to OBC, SC/ST.

1. There are not much benefit in increasing quotas in higher education. If government really wants to improve their life, then make sure that everyone them gets the right primary education. So that, if they are really capable then they will pursue higer education after getting a strong foundation.

I am not suggesting that there should be zero reservation in higher education, let it be , but not to that extent that it starts affecting other students.

2. Government should take right steps so that, once a person from a family gets this reservation benefit and acheives good status in society( and financely), he or their family members should not be allowed to avail this benefit.
